Elissa Sursara

Elissa Sursara. She's led an incredible person living as a real-life wildlife warrior. But I had never thought of her as a celebrity, or as someone famous.

All good books have a forward by someone famous, someone with some celebrity, someone the whole world knows.

I was thinking about this for a while before releasing my books but I didn’t think I knew anyone famous. There are no celebrities in my life, no divas, no-one of prominence or prestige. Whenever I think of celebrities I don’t think of down-to-earth regular people. And then one day I was chatting to my friend Elissa Sursara. She’s an incredible person living as a real-life wildlife warrior. But I had never thought of her as a celebrity, or as someone famous. She just doesn’t act that way. She’s way too normal to be a celebrity. I think that’s one of the reasons that I thought she would be the perfect person to write the forward for my books.

Elissa is a biologist, an explorer and a conservationist. She has a Bachelor Degree in Science, majoring in Biology and is currently studying for her Masters. She has sailed with Sea Shepherd on the MV Steve Irwin. She is an ambassador for Earth Hour, 1% For the Planet and Wildlife Warriors. She spends all of her spare time fighting to save the environment.

I know there’s a lot of links in this post, but you really need to check them out. There are so many ways that we can help the environment, the animals and the people of this world. One person can’t do everything, but everyone can do something and it’s those little somethings that add up to really big things. Things that change the world and make it a better place: today and in the future.

And rather than just think ‘Wow, she does a lot’ I challenge you to make one small change to improve the planet. And please let me know what you did in the comments.
